It also relates to the coast of Guinea, Havana, Guadeloupe, California, the northwest coast of America, Australia, and Canton. Patterson made three voyages to the northwest coast, visiting the Queen Charlotte Islands and Nootka Sound on Vancouver Island ... [He] visited Hawaii in 1805, and ... Fiji in 1808."
