Description | A hand-drawn map created by Hawaiian historian David Malo. It has been in the Hawaiian Historical Society's collection since 1896. A memorandum on the reverse reads: 'This map was drawn by a native of the islands, named David Malo. He has a thorough knowledge of topographical geography. It is one year since he commenced the study and this is one of his first efforts at drawing'. |
