Description The logbook of the brig Mexican details a voyage from Salem to Sumatra and return. Home port was Salem; owners were Joseph and Joseph A Peabody; master was Jonathan Batchelder; log keeper was [William C. Lamb?]. It is a daily log describing wind, weather, location, and sightings of ships. Log does not continue while in port. Includes an illustration of the ship.
