Description The logbook abstract of the ship Samuel Russell details a voyage from New York to Anger [i.e. Indonesia], Hong Kong, and back to New York. Master was Nathaniel B Palmer; log keeper was Joshua Blake. It is a daily log that describes wind, weather, and location. During the voyage, the ship passed the Cape of Good Hope. Bound with the ships Vancouver, John Q Adams, Oriental, and the sloop Preble.
