Description The logbook of the ship Mentor details a voyage from the Sandwich Islands to Canton, Lintin, and Whampoa. Home port was Boston; owners were Sturgis, Bryant, Potter, and Suter; master and log keeper was George Newell. Newell left the Mentor to become supercargo aboard the brig Nile. It is a daily log describing wind, weather, location, and port activities. Bound with the Judith Farmer, Rimac, Nile, Pleiades, and Pearl.
